At the top of the East Hill funicular, situated near the fishing beach, is the Country Park, one of Hastings and St Leonards' many fine green spaces.

    The Coastal Cultural Trail, which you can walk or bike, links the Jerwood to two acclaimed galleries, Bexhill's De La Warr Pavilion and Eastbourne's Towner Art Gallery.

    There are many other attractions in Hastings and St Leonards-on-Sea, both architectural and cultural. The fantastic Hastings Pier (recently named Pier of the Year and winner of the highly prestigious RIBA Stirling Prize) hosts numerous live gigs and shows; it is an iconic place to visit, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd and The Clash having played there. The town also hosts the Hastings Half Marathon, the Jack in the Green Festival, Hastings Beer Festival, Coastal Currents, the Old Town Carnival and three seafood festivals.
