Satori’ on Gillsmans Hill is a unique architect-designed house, arranged over four floors, with a south-facing roof-top balcony and with a bow front that accommodates the stairs, all the way up from the ground floor, to the top floor.
The top floor third bedroom is a sun drenched room with glazing on all four sides and double doors onto a south-facing balcony. Other features include a dumb waiter that begins in the kitchen and rises through all four floors, with hatches in the living room and one of the bedrooms, arriving finally to bring your refreshments up to the balcony. The house is double-glazed throughout and has gas central heating run from a Worcester combi boiler located in the kitchen.
Outside the house is a large car port with an additional car parking space available on the adjacent forecourt. The front door opens onto a spacious entrance hall, from where there are stairs rising to the first floor and doors to the kitchen and to the WC. The kitchen is at the back of the house which faces south. Light streams into this bright room which has shaker style cream units and integrated appliances which include a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is an electric fan oven and a five burner gas hob.
Under the window there is a white ceramic sink with one and a half bowls and drainer. The splashbacks are tiled in terracotta shades. A door leads onto the pretty south-facing courtyard garden with paving stones and climbing shrubs. The WC on the ground floor also has an understairs storage area. Climbing the stairs from the hall, you will pass through the bow of the house for the first time, which has three delightful wooden framed arched windows, where the staircase turns to arrive on the first floor landing.
There are built-in shelves on the landing and a door to the huge living/dining room which occupies the remainder of this floor. To the south there are large windows onto a Juliette balcony, and there are further windows to the front of the house in the dining area, making this another light and welcoming room. On the second floor are two double bedrooms the largest of which has a built in wall-to-wall wardrobe. They are served by a large bathroom with separate shower.
