Knight & Knoxley are excited to market this newly refurbished two bedroom terraced property. Situated within walking distance to the Old Town, local amenities and seafront.
Entering the property you are greeted with a small vestibule taking you to the main hallway. Leading off the hallway is the living room with cornicing and original picture rails retained. Next to the living room you find a separate space for dining or it can be utilised as a study or third bedroom. To the rear of the property the newly fitted kitchen with integrated appliances can be found with rear access to the garden. Off the kitchen a separate 'purpose built' utility/laundry room and downstairs W/C and basin.
The garden is a fantastic size and a real sun trap. Views across the east hill can be enjoyed in this space and could be adapted to any style of garden. One that is easy to maintain or one that can be loved and cared for throughout the year.
Making your way up the stairs leading off the landing is the main bathroom. Newly fitted with a heated towel rail and sea views looking down into The Old Town.
Upstairs there are two great sized bedrooms both retaining their original feature fireplaces and picture rails with the rear bedroom enjoying views out over the east hill.
The Old Town is a short walk away and is a unique place with artist open houses running throughout Hastings in the spring months along with summer fairs and street parties. Looking for an evening out? Old Town and St Leonards have great local pubs serving good food (try The Crown, Dragon Bar, Wine Shed, St Clements, St Leonard and Half Man Half Burger). Excellent local shops including Penbuckles and Judges serve the best coffee and scrumptious food. Hastings station is close with a direct link to Charing Cross, Kings Cross International and Brighton accessible within 1h:30 mins perfect for commuters.
Hastings has the largest fishing fleet in Europe that is launched from a beach, which is known as the Stade. The Castle built by William the Conqueror but now in ruins is at the top of West Hill and offers wonderful views of the area and Channel. The steepest funicular railway in Britain takes passengers from the Old Town up to the Castle.
Seven years after opening on the Hastings seafront, Jerwood Gallery will relaunch in the Summer 2019 as Hastings Contemporary - a new, independent, modern and contemporary art gallery for the South East.
There are many other attractions in Hastings and St Leonards On Sea, both architectural and cultural. The fantastic Hastings pier (recently awarded pier of the year) hosts numerous live gigs and shows and is a wonderful place to visit. The town hosts several events throughout the year, which include the Hastings Half Marathon, the Jack in the Green Festival, Hastings Beer Festival, Coastal Currents and the Old Town Carnival.
